Rules of Conduct
PC Djerdap National Park, based in Donji Milanovac, the company managing the protected area, is tasked with protecting and preserving the natural and cultural wealth for present and future generations. By setting a personal example and by responsible behavior, each of us can and should help the managing company in its efforts to preserve the natural and cultural heritage. Therefore, we kindly ask that you abide by the following rules of conduct, because our descendants are also entitled to well-preserved nature.
- Respect the forests, plants, animals and natural phenomena. Relish them in silence, absorb memories with your eyes and cameras;
- Do not break tree branches, especially saplings which should be left to grow into big trees;
- Flowers are the loveliest when you admire them in their natural surroundings, so please do not pick them;
- Do not disturb animals or damage nests. Do not pollute rivers, lakes, streams and springs;
- Use trash bins to dispose of garbage, and in case you cannot find any nearby, bring your garbage with you. When you leave, make sure the nature is left unspoiled, just the way you found it in the first place;
- Move along marked and kept footpaths and trails;
- Do not forget that noise is not part of the natural surroundings. Enjoy the sounds of nature;
- When visiting a national park or any other cultural site, do not endanger its ecosystems or disrupt the basic characteristics of nature by your behavior;
- Park your vehicles on designated parking lots and drive slowly when passing by hikers or cyclists.
